Dear Stakeholder,
The Interim Inspector-General Murray-Darling Basin Water Resources, Mr Mick Keelty, invites you to attend a Webinar to present the findings from the recent Inquiry undertaken into water sharing arrangements in the southern Murray-Darling Basin.
The Webinar will be held on May 21, 2020 at 9:00 AM AEST. To attend please register here (noting this link will redirect you to GoToWebinars page). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. There are a limited number of places available, so please ensure you register your attendance as soon as you can.
Due to the current restrictions in place from Covid-19 it is not possible for Mr Keelty to physically return to the communities as was originally intended. The GoToWebinar platform has been chosen to undertake this Webinar as it has been proven to be easy to use and it provides an interactive forum, that is as close to a ‘town hall’ in a virtual world.
Whilst the Webinar allows for questions and comments to be made and asked in real time, we suggest that you read the Report prior to the Webinar, and provide questions and comments via the link in the Invitation. These will be responded to on the day, time permitting.
The Report, Impact of lower inflows on state shares under the Murray–Darling Basin Agreement, was published on 17 April 2020 and is able to be read and downloaded here.
If you would like to have a hard copy of the report sent to you, please email the igmdb@agriculture.gov.au inbox with your address, and we will arrange to have a copy sent to you.
If you are unable to attend the Webinar it will be available for viewing on the www.igmdb.gov.au website soon after being conducted.
NOTE: Please direct all questions through the link provided. Do not reply to this email
