Border Rivers Regional Water Strategy Public Exhibition – until 30th Nov 2020

The NSW Government has developed a draft regional water strategy to help manage the water needs in the Border Rivers region over the next 20 – 40 years. The strategy is one of 12 being developed across the state.

From 20 October to 30 November the draft Border Rivers Regional Water Strategy and draft rules for floodplain harvesting licences in the Border Rivers region will be on public exhibition. You can have your say by providing written feedback to the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment by 11.59 pm on Monday 30 November.

1. Watch the regional water strategies overview video

This video provides an overview of the regional water strategies program including the objectives, tools and modelling used to develop the 12 strategies across NSW.

2. Register for a public information webinar session

Tuesday 20 October: 10 am to 12 pm

This webinar will provide an overview of draft Border Rivers Regional Water Strategy and the proposed water sharing rules for floodplain harvesting licenses. 

3. Attend a face-to-face public information session

These sessions will provide an overview of the draft Border Rivers Regional Water Strategy including the climate data modelling approach and the long list of draft options. The sessions will also provide an overview of the proposed water sharing rules for floodplain harvesting licenses, how to make a submission and a Q and A session.

Appointments are available on Wednesday 4 November and Thursday 5 November between 10 am and 4 pm.
